Green Lights & Red Flags - FTC Rules of the Road for Business
What substantiation basics apply to your advertising claims? What should your company consider when marketing in social media? What simple steps can help you reduce the risk of a cyberattack — and what should you do if one happens to you? How can you help your staff spot and avoid business-to-business scams?
Those are some of the trending topics we’ll cover at Green Lights & Red Flags: FTC Rules of the Road for Business, a free online workshop focused on hot topics in truth-in-advertising law, social media marketing, data security, B2B scams, and other business basics. The event is free – and there’s good news for Texas attorneys: The State Bar of Texas has accredited the workshop for 4.00 hours of Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) credit, including 1.00 hour of Ethics credit.
Green Lights & Red Flags is set for Thursday, June 24, starting at 1 PM Central Time. Who should attend? Business executives, advertising professionals, attorneys – anyone who needs to know how established legal principles apply in today’s fast-paced marketplace. Attendees will hear practical insights into consumer protection from national and Texas legal experts, business leaders, and marketing executives. Featured speakers include FTC Commissioner Rebecca Kelly Slaughter.
Co-hosting the event with the FTC’s Southwest Region are the American Advertising Federation of Dallas, the Better Business Bureau Serving North Central Texas, the Dallas Bar Association Antitrust & Trade Regulation Section, and the Thurgood Marshall School of Law.
