The North Texas LGBT Chamber of Commerce Welcomes Mastermind as a President's Circle Member

Mastermind, a locally-owned LGBTBE, just upgraded their membership to join the President's Circle. Dorsey Standish, CEO of Mastermind, recently facilitated a session at the LGBT Leadership Institute, a program of the LGBT Chamber of Commerce Foundation. Dorsey led the training for participants to support them in building new stress management and leadership skills to support their work and life. This interactive session included education around the neuroscience of mindfulness, evidence-based strategies to manage stress, boost focus, and improve communication, and short guided wellness exercises to strengthen mindfulness and compassion. The session included opportunities for discussion and dyad breakouts to foster engagement and interconnection.

The training resulted in greater camaraderie among students. Class members were inspired and left energized with actionable strategies they can implement daily to support mindful and compassionate leadership. "I have been wanting to have a session like this for the LGBT Leadership Institute for a few years now," said Lisa Howe, who manages the program. "The Mindful Leadership Training, by Mastermind, provided valuable information and exercises for a group of people who often prioritize serving others and work and live from task to task and project to project. It makes me happy that our graduates get this kind of quality training that they can utilize for the rest of their lives."
