ASD Founders' Day

Join us on June 12, 2025, from 11 AM to 1 PM as we come together to celebrate the annual Founders Day for ASD! 

In recognition of our humble beginnings, we honor and commemorate our founders, Michael R. Meridian and Daryl M. Moore. Their vision of empowerment and service has carried us through every challenge and helped us grow into the organization we are today. 

Our Founders Day event isn't just about remembering our past; it's about celebrating the present and embracing the future. This year, we're honoring the staff, residents, volunteers, and donors who make our work possible every day. We'll be presenting awards to those who have shown outstanding support for the mission of ASD.

 Highlights of the day: 

• The Daryl Moore Memorial Award will be presented to an organization or individual that has gone above and beyond in their support to the mission of ASD. 
• The Phil Morrow Memorial Tribute will honor an entity that exemplifies our mission, displaying exceptional leadership and dedication to providing housing and essential services to people living with AIDS. 
• Milestone Staff Recognition: Celebrating our hardworking team members who have dedicated years of service to ASD. 
• Resident Appreciation: Honoring the residents who have made great strides in their personal journeys. 
• The Michael R. Meridian Memorial Award will be given to an outstanding resident who exemplifies the spirit of ASD's mission. 
• Career Achievement Award: Recognizing the achievements of our residents in their professional journeys. 

While we will celebrate our accomplishments and honor those who have made our work possible, we'll also take a moment to remember the valued members of the ASD community we lost this year. Please join us for this important occasion as we look back on our history, honor those who've made our work possible, and look to the future with hope and determination. We look forward to seeing you there!

More Details: 🎟️Tickets are available free of charge, but donations are warmly appreciated. You can direct your donations to www.asdhome.org/donate. All proceeds go towards providing housing and supportive services to low-income individuals affected by HIV/AIDS in Dallas. 

🚗 Parking is available on the street along Lancaster Ave. and Comal St. 

🍽️ Lunch will be served with more details to come. 

👗 Attire is casual and weather-appropriate as the program will take place outside with minimal shade. 

📷 Photography will be done by appropriate ASD staff, and we kindly ask all other attendees to refrain from unauthorized photos or videos. We prioritize protecting the identities and privacy of our residents while on the property. 

🤚 Privacy: This event takes place on ASD property and is not open to the public. Please refrain from inviting unapproved individuals without permission from ASD staff. Respecting the dignity and privacy of our residents is at the core of ASD's mission, and this boundary helps enforce that value.
