Part-Time Project Manager

Watson Branding & Marketing | McKinney, TX (Hybrid) | Part-Time → Full-Time Opportunity

About Watson

Watson Branding & Marketing is a boutique agency that builds brands people actually remember — through smart strategy, creative that converts, and a client experience that feels like you're our only client. We're a tight-knit team that moves fast, communicates well, and genuinely loves the work. We're growing, and that means it's time to bring in someone who can help us deliver at the level our clients deserve.

The Opportunity

We're hiring a part-time Project Manager to own the day-to-day delivery experience for one of our top retainer accounts — and potentially more as you grow with us. This role starts at 5–10 hours per week with a clear path to full-time within 6 months for the right person.

This is not a passive coordinator role. You'll be the operational heartbeat of the account — the person clients hear from most, the one who knows the SOW inside and out, and the first to notice when something feels off. You'll work closely with our Account Manager and Creative Director, keeping projects moving and clients happy while protecting our team's bandwidth.

If you love a clean spreadsheet, a perfectly structured ClickUp board, and the satisfaction of a well-run meeting with a tight recap — this might be your seat.

What You'll Own

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for your assigned client(s), responding to all emails and requests within 4 business hours
  • Work directly with the Account Manager to align on project needs and priorities
  • Review project boards weekly to ensure tasks are moving, timelines are accurate, and nothing is slipping
  • Schedule all client meetings; send agendas in advance and recaps with action items after
  • Send weekly status updates to keep clients informed and confident
  • Manage deliverable review cycles — sending work for approval and shepherding feedback loops to completion
  • Know the scope of work well enough to flag anything that falls outside it before it enters the queue
  • Track client expenses and coordinate with our accounting process
  • Coordinate deliverables with partners and vendors as needed
  • Surface patterns: shifts in tone, spikes in ad-hoc requests, signs of enthusiasm or frustration — and route those signals to the Account Manager promptly

Who You Are

  • Highly organized — you have a system for everything and it actually works
  • A strong communicator — clear, professional, and warm in writing and in conversation
  • Responsive — you take urgency seriously and don't let things sit
  • Detail-obsessed — you proofread twice, catch the thing everyone else missed, and love a well-structured spreadsheet
  • A pattern recognizer — you notice when something feels different and know that's worth mentioning
  • Self-directed — you can manage priorities independently and ask for help before something becomes a problem

Nice to Have

  • Background in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • Experience with project management tools (ClickUp, Asana, or similar)
  • Familiarity with agency or client services environments
  • This role is a natural next step for a marketing assistant ready to own more

The Details

  • 10 hours per week to start, with clear potential to grow into a full-time role within 6 months
  • Flexible schedule with some availability required during standard business hours for client communications
  • Hybrid — some in-person time in McKinney preferred
  • Compensation commensurate with experience

How to Apply

Send your resume and a brief note (email or voice memo — your call) to Kayden telling us why this role fits where you are right now and where you're headed. We're looking for someone who's excited about the opportunity, not just the job description.
