ABOUT BADGE OF PRIDE
Badge Of Pride is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Dallas, Texas with the mission to activate artifacts from LGBTQ+ history to inform, enrich and engage the power of the contemporary Queer experience.
Founded in 2022, Badge Of Pride emerged from a pressing need to counter relentless attacks on the LGBTQ+ community by sharing Queer history as a means to spark dialogue and connection. Built upon a foundation of a large collection of artifacts amassed over three decades, our aim is to honor and amplify the diverse and powerful narratives of the LGBTQ+ community, ensuring they endure and inspire future generations. We firmly believe that by showcasing Queer history, we encourage activism, challenge stereotypes, promote inclusivity, and drive change.
BADGE OF PRIDE: FROM SILENCE...TO CELEBRATION!
We are currently curating an exhibition that will be on view at the Irving Archives & Museum, June 06 - September 28, 2025. Join us for a journey through more than a century of LGBTQ+ history, with the role of North Texas highlighted in the arc of our community's story. When we open, it will be one of the largest artifact-centered exhibitions on LGBTQ+ history ever seen in the state of Texas!
