DALLAS, June 17, 2025 –Dallas Southern Pride and Abounding Prosperity, Inc. have announced they will host a Juneteenth Community Summit and a wealth of fellowship activities to the Juneteenth Unity Weekend Celebration lineup of events June 19-22 2025.

The Juneteenth Community Summit June 19th and 20th will take place 10 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, 1015 Elm St., Dallas, Texas 75202. The summit is designed to strengthen conversations regarding increase access to quality comprehensive healthcare for Black men who have sex with men (MSM) and increase the knowledge and visibility of health inequities that affect Black MSM in Dallas to drive initiatives responsive to those needs. Also, on Friday will be a Welcome Reception hosted by Dallas Southern Pride and Abounding Prosperity, Inc at The Statler Dallas Curio Collection, 1914 Commerce St., Dallas, Texas 75201 at 7 p.m. This event is free but must rsvp.

Additionally, the Juneteenth Unity Festival and Pool Party will be on Saturday, June 21 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Vice Park Dallas, 2601 Gaston Ave., Dallas, Texas. There will also be health screenings and select treatments, MPOX and Covid-19 vaccinations and education, career opportunities with the Dallas Police Department, and serval local small business and non-profit vendors. For the first time, this event will be FREE!

More than 20,000 people from across the nation and internationally are slated to attend this year’s Juneteenth Unity Weekend Celebration, which was created to celebrate the brilliance and culture of Black people. Dallas’s Juneteenth Unity Weekend Celebration has become the official annual celebration for Black communities to come together and celebrate their contributions to both American and Black culture, liberation and community.

Abounding Prosperity is offering a free ticket to any event during the weekend to anyone who participates in a health screening.

Dallas Southern Pride’s 2025 Juneteenth Unity Weekend Celebration is a five-day celebration of curated experiences that build awareness concerning the most often ignored social justice and political issues affecting Black communities.
